Meta unveiled two new paid tiers today, adding Facebook Plus and Instagram Plus to its recently launched WhatsApp Plus. Each service costs $3.99/month and promises a bundle of premium tools aimed at power users and creators. Subscriptions appear inside the native apps, and the rollout is expected to reach global audiences in stages.

Instagram Plus grants access to analytics like aggregate story rewatch counts, unlimited audience lists beyond the standard Close Friends, and weekly story spotlights to boost visibility. Users can extend stories past the 24‑hour limit, preview stories anonymously, and hide posts from followers' feeds. Additional perks include animated Super Heart reactions, custom app icons, and extra profile pins.

Facebook Plus mirrors many Instagram features, offering similar analytics and customization options. Meta’s head of product Naomi Gleit hinted that the company will keep adding “more fun features” over time, suggesting the subscriptions are a testbed for monetizing core platform functions. The move signals a shift toward recurring revenue as ad fatigue grows, giving users a clear choice between free access and enhanced capabilities.
