Apple Lakeside store in Essex, England, reopens on Saturday after a major redesign featuring sustainable materials and accessibility improvements. The store first opened in October 2007 and now includes a dedicated Apple Pickup area for online order collection. Accessibility upgrades feature varied table and seating heights, assisted listening systems, enhanced visual and acoustic clarity, and improved wheelchair navigation space.

Apple describes the redesigned store as offering an experience room for product exploration, a designated Genius Bar for personalized support, and free Today at Apple educational sessions. The company operates 39 Apple stores in the UK, with recent redesigns at Lakeside and Regent Street, London, and ongoing work in Birmingham and Southampton. Other locations including Trafford and Touchwood have been relocated, while the Basingstoke store will close later this year.
