Trade Moves

The Chiefs sent All-Pro cornerback Trent McDuffie to the Rams in a blockbuster trade for four draft picks, including the 29th pick in the 2026 first round. The Chargers released guard Mekhi Becton, saving $9.7 million against the salary cap.

Roster Cuts

The Vikings are expected to release defensive tackle Jonathan Allen as they continue to whittle down their salary cap deficit. The Steelers are releasing veteran tight end Jonnu Smith, who arrived in Pittsburgh via trade with the Dolphins last summer.

Free Agency Outlook

Washington is expected to be aggressive pursuing players at edge rusher, receiver and corner in particular to get Jayden Daniels star-level help. The Patriots will release Stefon Diggs after one season, saving cap space and putting the receiver position back in question.

Player Updates

Browns star Myles Garrett was issued his ninth speeding ticket since entering the NFL in 2017 after being clocked going 94 mph in a 70 mph zone. Veteran quarterback Aaron Rodgers says he remains undecided on his playing status for next season despite the Steelers hiring Mike McCarthy, with whom he won a Super Bowl in Green Bay.

Combine Notes

While Tampa Bay waits for two of its most impactful players in team history, the coach and GM opened up about why the Bucs want Lavonte David back and receiver futures. The Cardinals and Panthers will face off in the annual Hall of Fame exhibition game on Aug. 6 as part of enshrinement week, with Cardinals legend Larry Fitzgerald and Panthers great Luke Kuechly to be inducted.

Coaching Moves

Former Green Bay Packers special teams coordinator Rich Bisaccia will take on the same role at the college ranks with Clemson.
