Ambienta's portfolio company Spaggiari has completed the acquisition of ESDS, an education software group operating in Iberia and Latin America. Founded in 2007, ESDS supports educational institutions with digital management of academic and administrative processes. Its product suite includes two management information system platforms, e Schooling and i Scholar, plus project-based learning platform Dream Shaper.

Together, the products serve more than 3,000 schools and 1.5 million students. The founders and management team of ESDS are reinvesting alongside Ambienta and will remain involved in the business. The acquisition extends Spaggiari's dematerialization strategy beyond Italy into Iberia, Brazil and other Latin American markets, aligning with Ambienta's focus on resource-efficiency investments. "The ESDS acquisition is perfectly aligned with our M&A strategy for Spaggiari, adding high-quality MIS software in new markets of Iberia and LATAM and an innovative learning solution which we'll market across the group to unlock synergies and expand our addressable market," said Andrea Florio, investment director at Ambienta.
