Apple today seeded the eighth betas of iOS 27 and iPadOS 27 to developers for testing, one week after the seventh beta release. Registered developers can download the updates via Settings > General > Software Update on iPhone or iPad.

iOS 27 introduces Siri AI, a smarter chatbot-like assistant incorporating world knowledge, personal data from Messages and Mail, and onscreen awareness. New Apple Intelligence features appear in Photos, Safari, Shortcuts, Wallet, and Passwords, alongside a standalone Siri app for conversation history. Write with Siri works systemwide for text generation and editing, while Visual Intelligence moves to the Camera app with a new Siri mode.

Apple refined Liquid Glass with a transparency slider and delivered multiple performance improvements. Apps launch faster, AirDrop transfers are quicker, the keyboard appears more rapidly, and Wi-Fi-to-Cellular transitions are smoother — even on older iPhones.
