Elon Musk's X won a court order blocking Operation Bluebird from launching an app using the Twitter name. Chief Judge Colm Connolly ruled that X's use of 'Welcome to X (formerly known as Twitter)' in Apple's App Store listing proves the Twitter name has not been abandoned. The court found X deliberately maintains association with the Twitter brand, leveraging its goodwill.

However, X could not block Operation Bluebird from using 'tweet' or the bird logo, as Musk's public statements about eliminating the Twitter brand provided evidence of abandonment of those trademarks. The judge determined that leftover web pages and social media accounts were remnants of prior use, not current bona fide use of the marks.
