Yesterday, Apple unveiled the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max, both powered by the new A20 Pro chip. The company has praised its latest SoC for being better than all predecessors, but how does it actually perform in benchmarks? Two new iPhones identified as iPhone 19,2 and iPhone 19,3 have just run Geekbench 6.7, achieving single-core scores of 4,719 and 4,612, respectively, while their multi-core scores are 12,677 and 11,819, respectively.

Averaging the single-core scores yields about 4,665, while the multi-core average is approximately 12,248. Compared to the previous generation iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max, these results represent a 21-23% improvement in both single-core and multi-core performance. The A20 Pro's CPU frequency reaches up to 4.93GHz, and both new iPhones feature 12GB of RAM.

The phones run iOS 27, set for release on Monday, September 14. The upcoming MediaTek Dimensity 9600 scored a single-core of 4,139 and multi-core of 13,285, slightly ahead in multi-core but behind in single-core. However, all results should be taken with caution as they come from prototype devices.
