A year after launching in Taiwan, HTC is rolling out the Vive Eagle smart glasses across North America, Europe, the UK, and Australia. The specs remain unchanged, featuring a Snapdragon AR Gen 1 processor, 4GB RAM, 32GB storage, and a 235mAh battery with 36-hour standby. The glasses include a 12-megapixel camera with privacy safeguards: recording stops if the glasses aren't worn or if a bystander says "stop filming." Users can access AI via OpenAI or Gemini, with HTC confirming data isn't used for training and requests are anonymized.

Audio is delivered through open-ear stereo speakers. The Vive Eagle comes in square or panto shapes with translucent Black, Coffee, and Berry colors, shipping with Zeiss lenses (clear, tinted, or adaptive) and prescription-ready frames. In the US, sales start today from $499.

European and UK shipments begin September 21st at €469 and £429 respectively.
