After recently letting iPhone users add a second account to the same app, WhatsApp is now working on expanding support to up to three accounts.

Last June, WhatsApp officially rolled out support for multiple accounts on iPhone, allowing users to add a second account to the same app. Now, as spotted by WABeta Info, the app appears to be working on expanding the feature to let users switch between up to three accounts without logging out.

The attached image shows the account selector when multi-account supports up to three profiles. The left screen shows the option to add a second account at the bottom of the interface. The right screen shows the interface when users log into their third profile. The layout is the same as before, so accounts appear with their name, profile photo, and phone number, and the active one has a green checkmark.

Note that WhatsApp may support even more than three accounts in the future. The report adds that each account will keep its own chat history, notifications, privacy settings, backups, and media. That said, the feature is still under development and isn't available to beta testers yet.
