Indianapolis Colts wide receiver Keenan Allen was arrested early Sunday morning on drunken driving charges in downtown Indianapolis. The 34-year-old faces preliminary misdemeanor charges of operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated (OVWI) and OVWI endangering a person, according to the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department. Allen was arrested at approximately 1 a.m. ET after officers approached his vehicle, which was parked in a no-parking zone, and observed signs of intoxication.

He was being held at the Marion County Arrestee Processing Center as of Sunday morning. The Colts released a statement saying they are gathering more information and have no further comment at this time. Allen joined the Colts earlier this month on a one-year deal after playing briefly in Saturday's preseason game against the Detroit Lions, where he recorded one catch for 24 yards.

A six-time Pro Bowler, Allen had 81 receptions for 777 yards last season with the Los Angeles Chargers. He spent his first 11 seasons with the Chargers before being traded to the Chicago Bears in 2024 following a contract dispute. ESPN's Stephen Holder contributed to this report.
