More than ten years since the introduction of the HEATKILLER IV, Watercool is presenting a new generation of its CPU water coolers with the HEATKILLER V PRO and ULTRA. Developed from the ground up for the latest AMD processors on the AM4 and AM5 sockets, these models complement the existing product line. The proven HEATKILLER IV remains part of the lineup.

Key features of the new HEATKILLER V series include a completely redesigned cooling structure, a new pre-assembled mounting system, and indirect aRGB lighting. Right from its market launch, the HEATKILLER V ULTRA impressed PC Games Hardware and emerged as the top performer in their comparison test. The independent test confirms the development goals of the new generation: high thermal performance with efficient airflow and a cooling structure specifically tailored to current AMD processors.

The base plate, fin structure, residual base thickness, and airflow guidance were completely redesigned for the HEATKILLER V and optimized for the high heat flux densities of modern Ryzen processors. The ULTRA version features an exceptionally fine fin structure of 0.15 mm, while the HEATKILLER V PRO uses 0.25 mm fins.

The pre-assembled mounting system enables easy installation and ensures precise positioning, a secure fit, and evenly distributed contact pressure. For uniform indirect lighting, the HEATKILLER V ULTRA features 43 low-power aRGB LEDs. The HEATKILLER V ULTRA comes with 1 gram of Halnziye HY-P17 high-performance thermal paste. At launch, the HEATKILLER V will initially be available in acrylic versions, with full-metal versions to follow in October 2026. The black acrylic version is available for pre-order now and is expected to ship no later than September 25, 2026.
