TrustKernel Launches PlugClaw Private AI Computer

TrustKernel, a global pioneer in secure operating systems with over a decade of experience protecting more than 1 billion devices, today announced PlugClaw, a thumb-sized Private AI Computer designed to delegate real work to AI. As AI evolves from answering questions to taking actions, users want AI to reply to messages, organize information, and handle tasks. But today's devices are built for people, not autonomous AI, creating privacy and security risks.

PlugClaw introduces a dedicated, hardware-secured AI workspace. This thumb-sized USB-C device features its own processor, memory, encrypted storage, and the privacy-focused Plug OS. When plugged into any smartphone, tablet, or computer, it remains physically isolated—the host acts as a display and keyboard while AI, apps, and data stay inside Plug Claw.

Unlike chatbots, PlugClaw takes action: it can open apps, reply to messages, prepare presentations, and execute multi-step workflows. Users describe tasks in natural language, and PlugClaw follows through. For frontier AI, it combines local security with confidential cloud computing so neither TrustKernel nor cloud providers can read user data.

“The AI that does your work should be the AI that keeps your data yours,” said Dr. Wenhao Li, Founder and CEO. PlugClaw works across Android, iPhone, Windows, Mac, and Linux, carrying the same AI workspace everywhere. Available starting at US$149, with no mandatory subscriptions—every unit includes at least US$15 in AI credits.
