The Ryzen AI model targets developers and creators who need strong inference and training capability without Threadripper's price ceiling. It supports AMD Ryzen 9 processors, up to 128 GB of DDR5, 4 TB of PCIe 5.0 NVMe storage, and 140 TB of SATA capacity. Dual-GPU support depends on the chosen motherboard, giving buyers a path to scale compute as workloads grow.

For researchers and labs running massive LLMs or sustained training jobs, the Threadripper AI brings the AMD Ryzen Threadripper PRO 9995 WX with up to 96 cores, 512 GB of DDR5 RDIMM, and a 2,500 W 80 Plus Platinum power supply. The same 140 TB SATA ceiling and dual Blackwell 6000 support apply, but the memory bandwidth and core count target a different tier of workload entirely.

Both chassis share aluminum-and-metal construction, triple-fan AIO liquid cooling options, Wi-Fi 7 (motherboard-dependent), and 2.5 Gb Ethernet. Slimbook ships each system GNU/Linux- and Windows-ready, reflecting the reality that local AI tooling remains fragmented across OSes.
