SilverStone has launched two new low-profile CPU coolers, the SST-XE02-AM5B and SST-XE02-TR5B, targeting compact server and workstation builds. These 2U-sized solutions are designed for modern AMD platforms, with the AM5B compatible with AM5 and AM4 sockets, while the TR5B supports sTR5, SP6, TR4, and SP3. The coolers feature five 6 mm heatpipes and a central 60 mm PWM fan.

Both models share the same high-RPM dual ball bearing fan, which spins up to 14,000 RPM to move 72.8 CFM of air. However, their thermal capacities diverge significantly. The XE02-AM5B is rated for up to 170 W, suitable for Ryzen processors. The larger XE02-TR5B handles much more heat, with a 350 W rating intended for flagship chips like AMD's EPYC 8004 and Ryzen Threadripper 7000 series.

These coolers address a specific need for powerful, space-constrained cooling. Most small form factor cases struggle with the thermal output of high-core-count workstation and server CPUs. By providing a rare high-capacity, low-profile option, SilverStone offers a practical solution for professional mini-ITX and small tower builds requiring serious cooling without a large air cooler or liquid loop.
