Schenker is developing the Element 16, a modular gaming laptop slated for a 2026 release. Built in collaboration with Intel, the machine will use the upcoming Panther Lake Core Ultra 7 356H processor and support up to 64 GB of RAM. It targets enthusiasts who value repairability over flashy designs.

The laptop prioritizes user access with a toolless bottom panel for easy upgrades to RAM, SSD, fans, and battery. It features a replaceable keyboard and a unique side-mounted modular port system. Unlike competitors, the ports are bundled into a single swappable module, offering a distinct approach to connectivity.

Schenker also plans a replaceable motherboard, though it remains unclear if future boards will support AMD chips. This move capitalizes on the growing right-to-repair movement. Questions linger regarding pricing and parts availability, but EU retailer Bestware will handle distribution when the device eventually launches.
