Rumors suggest that inXile Entertainment, known for RPGs and currently developing "Clockwork Revolution," is in the early stages of working on a "Fallout-adjacent" game. This information comes from Windows Central journalist Jez Corden, who noted the project is still nascent and subject to change.

If confirmed, this would mark the fifth Fallout title in development, joining four others previously announced by Bethesda. The project aligns with Xbox's strategy of inter-studio collaboration to boost output and efficiency, as well as a focus on established franchises under Asha Sharma.

Given inXile's specialization in role-playing games, the new Fallout title is expected to be an RPG, consistent with the franchise's history. Microsoft's Satya Nadella aims for significant growth in its gaming division by 2027, with such long-term planning potentially contributing to that goal.
