Nanya Technology's Board of Directors has approved its largest investment program, allocating up to NT$346.6 billion (approximately $10.7 billion) to its Fab5A facility by 2029. This ambitious project will focus on 10 nm-class DRAM processes, including nodes 1b through 1e, and will incorporate EUV lithography.

To support Fab5A's timeline, Nanya has raised its 2026 capital expenditures budget by 34% to NT$69.7 billion (around $2.16 billion). A significant portion of this increase is earmarked for advance equipment payments. The production roadmap projects wafer starts in the second half of 2027, with monthly output reaching 30,000 wafers in 2028 and peaking at a planned maximum capacity of approximately 45,000 wafers per month by 2029.

Nanya is currently experiencing strong commercial performance, with July revenue reaching NT$43.87 billion (around $1.3 billion), a substantial increase driven by rising DRAM prices. The company's customer base includes major tech firms such as NVIDIA, Google, and Microsoft.
