MSI has become one of the first companies to join the EPEAT 2.0 Launch Partner program, marking a significant step in the company's sustainability push. The MSI Prestige 13 AI+ Evo A2VMG business laptop secured Silver certification on June 20, 2026, after meeting over 80 criteria across four sustainability pillars. This positions MSI ahead of competitors still transitioning to stricter environmental standards.

The EPEAT 2.0 framework, managed by the Global Electronics Council, evaluates products on Climate Change Mitigation, Sustainable Use of Resources, Reduction of Chemicals of Concern, and Responsible Supply Chains. These standards reflect the industry's shift from pure performance metrics to environmental coexistence as AI deployment expands. MSI's early adoption signals proactive compliance rather than reactive adjustment.

The Prestige 13 AI+ Evo weighs just 0.99 kg and incorporates Advanced Thixomolding Technology to reduce manufacturing waste. The laptop exceeds ENERGY STAR power consumption limits while integrating Post-Consumer Recycled plastics and FSC-certified packaging. MSI also enforces conflict-free mineral sourcing for tantalum, tin, tungsten, gold, and cobalt throughout its supply chain.

Wilson Tsai, MSI's Vice President, emphasized that technology value now extends beyond performance to environmental integration. Backed by SBTi-validated targets committing to 80% Scope 1 and 2 emissions reductions by 2035, MSI plans to expand its certified product lineup while embedding these standards into procurement and supply chain management.
