MSI, ASUS drop BIOS updates for EXPO‑ULL on X670E

MSI and ASUS pushed new UEFI firmware to their AMD 600‑series boards, adding support for EXPO-ULL memory profiles. The update targets the AMD X670E chipset, covering ROG Crosshair, ROG Strix, ProArt, and TUF Gaming lines. The firmware also ships with AGESA 1.3.0.1b for improved core stability in this generation.

EXPO-ULL extends SPD to simplify BIOS tuning, letting users deploy tighter timings like DDR5‑6000‑CL26 instead of the usual CL36. Ryzen 7000 and Ryzen 9000 processors lag Intel in memory clocks, so vendors can squeeze more performance out of DDR5 kits with these profiles for enthusiasts and overclockers.

ASUS released Beta BIOS 3803, covering its X670E families, while MSI rolled out an identical update for the MEG X670E GODLIIKE board. Both firmware bundles ship AGESA 1.3.0.1b, aligning with AMD’s latest microcode and ensuring backward compatibility across the 600‑series ecosystem for high‑end users and gamers today.

With AMD not limiting EXPO-ULL to a single chipset generation, other motherboard makers are likely to follow. The move tightens the race between AMD and Intel in the memory domain, giving Ryzen owners a clearer path to higher‑speed kits without manual overclocking and boosting system performance for today's demands.
