The game's core loop involves completing missions for six distinct factions to uncover the mysteries of the Tau Ceti colony. Players will collect audio logs and other narrative items to fill their Codex, building a living world through exploration and faction loyalty. This marks Bungie's first major new IP since Destiny.

A full English voice cast has been announced, featuring notable actors like Roger Clark and Elias Toufexis. The title will support full cross-play and cross-save at launch.
