Lexar is bringing a broad lineup of AI-grade storage products to COMPUTEX 2026, anchored by a collaboration with ASUS that spans mini PCs, handheld gaming, and desktop memory. The partnership pairs Lexar's Gen 4 SSDs with the ASUS NUC 15 Pro Mini PC and showcases the PLAY X SSD inside the ASUS ROG XBOX ALLY handheld.

The PLAY X PCIe 4.0 NVMe SSD hits read speeds up to 7400 MB/s and write speeds of 6500 MB/s, supporting both M.2 2230 and 2280 form factors. It's available now in Europe and MEAI markets. Lexar will also display ARES RGB DDR5 ROG Certified memory developed alongside ASUS ROG motherboards, plus a massive 128 GB DDR5 kit running at 6400 C32 for AI PC workloads.

On the AI front, Lexar's parent company Longsys contributes a self-developed Gen5 controller built on a 5 nm DRAM-less architecture. Its Intelligent Scheduling engine targets edge AI inference bottlenecks and reportedly cuts required DRAM capacity by roughly 40%. The flagship NM1090 Pro Gen 5 SSD reaches 14,400 MB/s read with up to 8 TB of capacity.

Concept products include AI-grade Gen 5 Storage Sticks designed for flexible expansion in compact edge devices, pushing bandwidth up to 11 GB/s. Lexar CTO Daniel Guo framed storage as an active participant in AI performance rather than passive capacity.
