Lenovo is developing Project Swan, a new ThinkBook that uses rollable OLED technology to create a larger display within a smaller form factor. Unlike the previous ThinkBook Plus Gen 6 which expanded vertically, Project Swan will allow horizontal expansion. This new model will be part of the ThinkBook line-up as a premium business laptop rather than a gaming device. According to a leak from Windows Latest, the rollable OLED panel will enable displays transitioning from approximately 1:1 (4:3) to 16:9 or 16:10 aspect ratios. Renders show dual USB Type-C ports along the left edge, suggesting a relatively thin chassis. However, this horizontal design sacrifices some ergonomics compared to earlier models where the top edge stayed closer to eye level on flat surfaces.

The cover breakage event has generated buzz ahead of launch. Technical details suggest the device represents Lenovo's next step in adaptive AI PC concepts, positioning Project Swan as a significant evolution from prior rollable display experiments.
