Intel today unveiled its new Core Ultra 200HX Plus mobile processor series, targeting gamers and professionals seeking top-tier performance. The lineup includes the Intel Core Ultra 9 290HX Plus and Intel Core Ultra 7 270HX Plus processors, building on the existing Core Ultra 200 family. These chips introduce significant upgrades, including a new Intel Binary Optimization Tool designed to enhance performance in select games and applications by leveraging Intel's extensive optimization history.

This tool aims to boost instructions per cycle (IPC) even for workloads originally tailored for other architectures. Up to 900 MHz of additional die-to-die frequency also improves the CPU/memory controller link speed, reducing latency and accelerating gaming and creation tasks.
