Intel Core Ultra 5 250KF Plus Drops iGPU, Saves $15

Intel is preparing to launch the Core Ultra 5 250KF Plus processor on April 3, 2026, offering a graphics-free variant of its popular 250K Plus chip. The new model removes the integrated GPU, making it $15 cheaper than its standard counterpart at approximately $184. This follows Intel's recent introduction of the 270K Plus and 250K Plus desktop processors, which debuted at $299 and $199 respectively.

The 250KF Plus targets users who already plan to use dedicated graphics cards, providing a small cost saving for those who don't need integrated graphics capabilities. Intel's tray pricing for the chip ranges between $174 and $184, a modest discount that could help offset rising component costs. The integrated graphics remains useful for troubleshooting when dedicated cards fail, but many enthusiasts prefer the KF variants for their slight price advantage.

Built on the Arrow Lake microarchitecture, the Core Ultra 5 250KF Plus maintains the same 6P+12E core configuration as its predecessor. It features 3 MB of L2 cache per P-core, 4 MB shared L2 cache for each E-core cluster, and 30 MB of shared L3 cache. The processor will be available through retail channels starting April 3, giving budget-conscious builders another option in Intel's expanding desktop CPU lineup.
