Intel's Arc B580 graphics card will soon receive XeSS 3 with Multi-Frame Generation (MFG) support. This update, confirmed by Intel and reported by Tom's Guide, is expected to arrive next month. Currently, the latest drivers from Intel provide XeSS 3 MFG for Core Ultra 3 "Panther Lake-H" mobile processors, but not for the B580, making this a welcome addition for gamers.

This news is a positive development for owners of the Arc B580 and indicates Intel's ongoing commitment to improving its graphics card performance. XeSS, or Xe Super Sampling, is Intel's upscaling technology designed to boost frame rates in games. MFG further enhances this by generating additional frames, leading to smoother gameplay.

Previously, the XeSS 3 with MFG was available on Core Ultra 3 processors, and this update brings it to the B580. Following the B580, it's anticipated that Arc B570 cards will also receive the update. Intel also hinted at further MFG innovations in gaming handhelds, signaling potential expansion in the future.

Adding multi-frame generation to the B580 is a move to better compete with Nvidia and AMD in the graphics card market. It's a key feature for improving gaming performance on Intel Arc cards, and gives consumers another reason to consider Team Blue solutions. Keep an eye out for how this impacts gaming experiences.
