HYTE Nexus 3.1.0: One App for PC Monitoring & RGB

HYTE has officially launched Nexus 3.1.0, a completely rebuilt desktop application that brings hardware monitoring, lighting control, gaming statistics, and system customization together in one package. The software is designed to reduce the need for multiple background utilities while keeping resource consumption low, with support for Windows, macOS, and Linux. Unlike its predecessor, Nexus 2.0, the new version has been rewritten from the ground up.

HYTE claims the application occupies less than 50 MB at launch and uses just 0.1% to 1% of system resources across the CPU, GPU, and memory. In TechPowerUp's testing, the app used about 142 MB of RAM and roughly 0.2%-0.5% of CPU resources, so HYTE's claims were not far off. The software can monitor individual components in real time, including temperatures, storage, memory, graphics hardware, fans, and liquid-cooling pumps. It can also identify conflicting applications and close them, and it will notify users when it detects issues that may need attention.

Gamers get automatic frame-rate tracking, with statistics covering average FPS, 1% lows, individual gaming sessions, and performance history. Lighting customization is supported through the Open RGB SDK, allowing compatible RGB hardware to be managed from the same app. Nexus also adds customizable widgets that display system information and media details on monitors, all-in-one liquid-cooler screens, and supported internal or external displays, with HYTE planning to expand screen compatibility over time.

Finally, the app offers remote management through a web client or the official mobile app, letting users monitor and adjust their PCs away from their desks.
