At CES 2026, HP unveiled a powerful refresh to its gaming lineup, headlined by the HyperX OMEN MAX 16 laptop and a 34-inch QD-OLED monitor. The OMEN MAX 16 is a high-performance beast, offering processor choices between Intel Core Ultra 200HX or AMD Ryzen AI chips, scaling up to the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5090 Laptop GPU. To manage its substantial 300W power draw—20% higher than the previous generation—HP integrated the OMEN Tempest Cooling Pro system with three fans.

This laptop also features a 240Hz WQXGA OLED display and new 'OMEN AI' software for game optimization. Alongside the laptop, HP introduced the HyperX OMEN OLED 34, a 360Hz ultrawide monitor featuring V-Stripe QD-OLED technology and built-in KVM functionality. Notably, HP is backing the display with a three-year OLED CoreProtect warranty against burn-in.

The release also included the HyperX Clutch Tachi, an Xbox-compatible arcade controller with magnetic switches. While pricing remains undisclosed, these launches signal HP's aggressive push into the premium gaming hardware sector, focusing on thermal management and AI-driven performance.
