IO Interactive is launching a Cross-Progression system for HITMAN World of Assassination on February 3rd, 2026. This update lets players carry their Agent 47 progress across over ten platforms, from console to PC, via the IOI Account. A Steam patch will precede the launch to ensure functionality.

The move addresses a long-standing player request for continuity across the trilogy's many releases. With the HITMAN 2 to HITMAN 3 carryover process closing on February 3rd, the new system unifies progression under a single account, preventing data conflicts and streamlining the experience for a franchise now playable on numerous devices.

Progress like challenges, mastery, and unlocks will sync, though game licenses and DLC require separate purchases per platform. This shift likely aims to boost player retention and simplify the ecosystem for the live-service model. The old carryover tool will become inaccessible after the deadline, pushing users toward the unified system.
