HiBy has unveiled the W4, a portable DAC/AMP that bridges wireless convenience with wired high-fidelity audio. Designed as an all-around performer, the W4 supports both Bluetooth streaming and wired connections, aiming to satisfy audiophiles who want flexibility without sacrificing sound quality.

The W4 features a versatile design with clip-on and magnetic attachment options, allowing it to function as a MagSafe-style accessory for compatible smartphones. It includes a 1500mAh battery and an Uncharge Mode that isolates power from connected devices, preventing battery drain and reducing interference. The device sports a 2-inch touchscreen for direct control of pairing, playback, and settings.

Audio performance is driven by dual Cirrus Logic CS43198 DAC chips paired with dual headphone amplifiers, supporting PCM up to 768 kHz/32-bit and native DSD512. It offers both 3.5mm single-ended and 4.4mm balanced outputs, delivering up to 475mW in balanced mode. Wireless capabilities include Bluetooth 5.4 with support for aptX Adaptive, Snapdragon Sound, aptX Lossless, LDAC, and other high-resolution codecs.
