Gigabyte unveiled its AORUS GeForce RTX 50 Series AI BOX at Computex 2026, pairing NVIDIA Blackwell GPUs with external enclosures designed for ultrabook laptops. The lineup ships two models—the flagship RTX 5090 AI BOX and the slimmer RTX 5060 Ti AI BOX—targeting gamers, creators and AI researchers who need desktop‑class power on the go.

The RTX 5090 AI BOX packs over 3,000 AI TOPS of FP4 compute and 32 GB of VRAM, enough to run large language models, generative AI pipelines and high‑resolution rendering. Its smaller sibling, the RTX 5060 Ti AI BOX, offers 16 GB VRAM and handles 1080p‑to‑2K gaming, local image generation and everyday AI workloads.

Both units rely on Gigabyte’s cooling tech: the 5090 uses a WATERFORCE liquid system with a 240 mm radiator and dual 120 mm fans, while the 5060 Ti employs WINDFORCE with a patented Hawk fan and server‑grade thermal gel. Thunderbolt 5, Ethernet, USB and four display ports give laptops workstation‑level connectivity, turning them into portable AI workstations today.

Gigabyte bundles the AI BOXes with its GPU Selector software, which lets users assign tasks between the laptop’s native GPU and the external unit for optimal efficiency. By simplifying multi‑GPU management, the solution promises smoother AI inference and rendering without manual tweaking, positioning Gigabyte as a key player in the emerging mobile AI workstation market.
