One year post-launch, manufacturers are pushing boundaries with the GIGABYTE RTX 5090 AORUS Infinity and ASUS RTX 5090 ProArt. These cards are significant because they are the first custom implementations of NVIDIA's 'Dual Flow-Through' cooler, a design originally introduced with the RTX 5090 Founders Edition.

This innovative thermal solution separates the main PCB, positioning it centrally to draw heat along the card's length. It utilizes fans at both ends to push air through the heatsink and out the backplate via cutouts. GIGABYTE’s design features two large 120mm fans and a two-tone aesthetic matching the Founders Edition.
