Fujitsu Limited announced global sales of its next-generation CPU, FUJITSU-MONAKA, designed and developed in Japan, starting November 2026. The processor will be sold as a standalone product to cloud and data center operators and server vendors. Fujitsu will also launch the made-in-Japan Fujitsu MONAKA Server equipped with the FUJITSU-MONAKA CPU, offering high reliability and power efficiency as a sovereign AI infrastructure.

The server will be broadly available from November 2026 to data center operators, enterprises, academic and HPC sectors in Japan and Europe, and the defense sector. The FUJITSU-MONAKA CPU achieves world-class performance with a maximum operating frequency of 3.8 GHz and memory transfer speed of 8800 MT/s, delivering twice the AI inference throughput and superior power efficiency compared to other CPUs. It effectively halves the number of servers and power consumption required for equivalent processing loads.

The server supports deployment in air-cooled data centers, enhances scalability via resource pooling, and reduces cooling energy use. Fujitsu will integrate the server with its AI technologies like Fujitsu Kozuchi and Takane to deliver a vertically integrated sovereign AI platform with improved traceability, security, and operational autonomy.
