1047 Games has released updates for its upcoming Titanfall-inspired shooter Empulse following Steam Next Fest playtesting. The developer is refining the game's mobility-focused combat and visual identity based on player feedback.

The studio is implementing bigger maps with weathering and destruction effects to address concerns about the world feeling too clean. Weapon balancing and the Speed P.A.I.N.T. mechanic are being adjusted to encourage more varied playstyles and faster pacing.

The grappling hook will retain more player momentum for smoother city-swinging, and new aim-down-sights functionality preserves the game's hip-fire emphasis. Mech gameplay will expand with additional weapons, new mech types, and dedicated anti-mech options.

The early access launch begins June 24, giving players direct input on ongoing development.
