NVIDIA's DLSS 5 technology faces severe criticism, with its official YouTube announcement video garnering an overwhelming 83.7% dislikes against just 16.3% likes. The video, viewed over 1.5 million times, shows 83.7% dislikes and 16,107 likes, reflecting a massive negative reaction. Other NVIDIA GeForce channel videos, including Resident Evil Requiem and Starfield, also show poor community approval, with ratings as low as 14.9% and 18.2% positive ratios.

This widespread discontent contrasts sharply with the Zorah Unreal Tech Demo, the only demo scoring a relatively high 37% positive rating. NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang dismissed gamers as 'completely wrong', claiming DLSS 5 offers unprecedented programmability. However, game developers from Capcom and Ubisoft told Insider Gaming they learned about the results simultaneously with the public and expressed surprise, raising concerns about AI's role in their games.

The rollout later this year will let gamers choose between traditional rendering and DLSS 5's enhanced visuals, but the technology's reception remains highly contentious.
