DDR5 pricing in Germany has been picking up pace again, with a 7% monthly increase in July that has pushed DDR5 to new all‑time highs.

Over the past year, prices have more than quadrupled, a 448% rise over the levels recorded in July 2025, largely driven by steep hikes between October 2025 and January 2026. PC enthusiasts have already faced significant affordability issues due to these price hikes.

ADATA’s Chairman Chen Li-bai suggested it might take another 10 years for the DRAM supply chain to stabilize, න grim outlook for DIY enthusiasts who want to build or upgrade PCs. DDR5 price surges are also driving up GPU costs.

Until 2030 the оид demand for more DRAM, NAND Flash, and computing power remains uncertain, with predictions extending to 2040 or 2050. For now, sustained price hikes have become the new norm.
