Crimson Desert PC and Console Specs Revealed: Surprisingly Low Hardware Requirements

Pearl Abyss has published the minimum hardware requirements for Crimson Desert, the upcoming open-world action-adventure game launching March 19. The specs are surprisingly modest, with minimum PC requirements calling for an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 or AMD Radeon RX 5500 XT, paired with an Intel Core i5-8500 or AMD Ryzen 5 2600X, 16 GB RAM, and a 150 GB SSD. These specs target 900p native resolution upscaled to 1080p at low settings with 30 FPS.

On consoles, the Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5 offer three graphics modes: Performance (1080p at 60 FPS with ray tracing low), Balanced (4K upscaled from 1280p at 40 FPS), and Quality (1440p upscaled to 4K at 30 FPS). The PS5 Pro enhances all modes with 4K native output, while the Xbox Series S offers only Performance (720p at 40 FPS) and Quality (1080p at 30 FPS) modes. Handheld gaming PCs like the ASUS ROG Ally can expect 40-60 FPS at 720p with FSR 3 Frame Generation.

These requirements are notably conservative compared to many modern games, suggesting Pearl Abyss's proprietary Black Space engine may be more efficient than competitors like Unreal Engine. The game will also leverage AMD's FSR 4 Redstone technology to potentially deliver higher frame rates than the published specs indicate.
