Cougar Unveils Airflow-Optimized Gaming Cases with Hidden Ventilation Design

Cougar brought fresh designs to Computex 2026 with its CVF220 and Duoair RGB mid-tower cases, built around a simple premise: hide ventilation in plain sight. Large cutouts and overhangs create visual appeal while separating the PSU from main components to improve airflow.

The CVF220 RGB trims down the existing CVF235, relocating the PSU to the front with a dedicated intake cutout between it and the rear panel. Bottom-mounted fan intakes pull cool air through these cutouts, while three top mounts accommodate radiators up to 360 mm. The Duoair takes a more conservative approach with chamber separation, featuring dual 140 mm intake fans behind a mesh front panel that swaps for tempered glass.

Both cases spawn pre-built configurations hitting different price points. The Duoair A1 launches at $1,499 with an Intel Core i7-14700F and RTX 5060, while the CVF220 X1 costs $2,599 with an AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D and RX 9070 XT. Cougar also showed the MX600 Mini V3 microATX case with dual-chamber airflow design and support for 400 mm GPUs.

These cases reflect the ongoing tension between clean aesthetics and effective cooling. By integrating ventilation into the design language rather than treating it as an afterthought, Cougar offers builders options that don't force them to choose between form and function.
