Chuwi has launched the UniBook, the first laptop powered by Intel's new Wildcat Lake Core 3 304 processor. The 14-inch machine targets students and young professionals with a starting price of $449. Unlike typical budget notebooks, the UniBook packs premium features including a 100% sRGB IPS display and comprehensive port selection.

The Wildcat Lake processor brings Intel's 18A process technology with 5 cores running up to 4.30 GHz. Chuwi rates battery life at 15-20 hours under mixed workloads, supported by a 53.38 Wh cell. The laptop includes 8 GB LPDDR5X memory and 256 GB PCIe SSD storage, plus Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.2 connectivity.

A full complement of ports addresses connectivity complaints about modern ultrabooks. The UniBook sports two USB-C, HDMI 2.0, multiple USB-A variants, Ethernet, and card readers. An 180-degree hinge and white backlit keyboard round out the package, which ships with Windows 11 Pro pre-installed.

At $449, the UniBook directly challenges Apple's MacBook Neo while offering superior connectivity and display color accuracy. Chuwi's timing aligns with Intel's push into thinner process nodes, though real-world performance and battery claims await independent verification.
