BenQ launched the RD270Q, a 27-inch WQHD monitor designed specifically for programmers and developers. This new model joins the RD Series lineup that debuted in 2024 as the company's first dedicated programming monitor range. The RD270Q arrives as a more accessible alternative to the flagship RD280UG that launched in January 2026.

The monitor features an IPS panel delivering 2560 x 1440 resolution at 144 Hz, which provides smoother scrolling through code and documents beyond typical gaming applications. With a 1300:1 contrast ratio, 350 cd/m² brightness, and 178° viewing angles, it includes programming-specific modes like Light, Dark, and Color Paper. Additional modes cover MacBook color matching and ePaper functionality for extended reading sessions.

Connectivity options span HDMI 2.0, DisplayPort 1.4, and USB-C with 65 W power delivery. The stand offers tilt, swivel, pivot adjustments, and 130 mm height range, supporting portrait orientation for vertical code viewing. Built-in 2 W speakers handle basic audio needs.

Priced at around $400, the RD270Q hits the market June 3, 2026, offering developers a purpose-built display without the premium cost of flagship alternatives. This positions BenQ to capture budget-conscious programmers seeking specialized features typically found in more expensive models.
