Electronic Arts Inc. and Battlefield Studios revealed Battlefield 6's largest seasonal update, featuring Naval Warfare and a Top Gun crossover with Paramount Games Studio. The collaboration brings the F-18/Super Hornet, F-14 Tomcat, and three characters voiced by original performers: Miles Teller as Lt. Bradley "Rooster" Bradshaw, Lewis Pullman as Lt. Robert "Bob" Floyd, and Charles Parnell as Adm. Solomon "Warlock" Bates.

A new Carrier Strike mode pits naval, air, and ground forces against each other to destroy enemy aircraft carriers. Players can also tackle a jets-only Gauntlet mission on a reworked Tsuru Reef in Battlefield REDSEC. Executive Producer Ryan McArthur called Battlefield's scale "the perfect way to bring Top Gun's iconic aerial combat to life."

Season 4 launches July 21 with Phase 1 (Pacific Front), introducing the franchise's biggest map yet, Tsuru Reef, and a new Dynamic Wave System affecting boat movement and combat. Phase 2 (Top Gun) arrives August 18 with collaboration content and a reimagined Wake Island. Phase 3 (Tidal Strike) releases September 15 with naval-based challenges. General Manager Byron Beede called it "our biggest update yet." Quality-of-life additions include Spectator Mode and Portal Custom Lobby.
