Audio-Technica today announced the release of its ATH-M50xSTS-WL StreamSet wireless streaming headset, the first wireless model in the StreamSet lineup. Designed for streamers, content creators, and gamers, the headset combines the studio sound of the ATH-M50x professional monitor headphones with microphone technology based on Audio-Technica's 20 Series. The ATH-M50xSTS-WL brings low-latency, interference-resistant 2.4 GHz digital wireless connectivity to the StreamSet range, expanding the lineup beyond its XLR and USB models.
An included USB transceiver enables plug-and-play use with PCs and compatible gaming consoles, giving users the freedom of a cable-free streaming experience. The headset features a cardioid condenser microphone on a flexible boom arm for clear, detailed vocal reproduction. The boom arm positions the microphone close to the user's mouth to help reject background noise and flips up to quickly mute the microphone.
Sidetone circuitry lets users hear their own voice in the headphones for a more natural, conversational experience. To further improve voice capture, the headset includes adaptive noise reduction with two selectable levels. The function continuously monitors audio input to prioritize the user's voice-over ambient sounds such as PC fans and air conditioners, and can be switched on or off at the earcup.
The ATH-M50xSTS-WL uses the same 45 mm large-aperture drivers found in the ATH-M50x, with rare earth magnets and copper-clad aluminium wire voice coils. The drivers deliver exceptional clarity throughout an extended frequency range, with deep, accurate bass response. Two types of interchangeable earpads are included: standard M50x earpads that emphasize audio quality and sound isolation, and breathable mesh earpads for comfort during long streaming or gaming sessions.
With up to 24 hours of continuous use on a full charge, the ATH-M50xSTS-WL supports all-day streaming. The included USB cable allows users to continue using the headset while charging and also supports optional wired audio operation. The ATH-M50xSTS-WL Stream Set will be available beginning October 28, 2026, at a U.S. Retail price of $299.
