ASUS has opened pre-orders for its ROG Swift PG27AQWP-W in the US, a 27-inch Tandem OLED gaming monitor first announced in November 2025. The display’s core feature is its dual-mode capability, switching between a 1440p 540 Hz mode and a 720p 720 Hz mode, which ASUS claims is a world first.

Priced at $1,099.99, the monitor will ship on January 30, 2026. It carries DisplayHDR 500 TrueBlack and AdaptiveSync 540 Hz certifications. A key technical advantage is its DisplayPort 2.1 with UHBR20 support, allowing the full 540 Hz without requiring Display Stream Compression, a common compromise on high-refresh displays.

ASUS is positioning the Tandem OLED tech as a solution to traditional OLED burn-in concerns, claiming it offers a 60% longer lifespan. The company backs this with a three-year burn-in warranty and its OLED Care Pro software suite, aiming to reassure gamers investing in a high-end panel.
