The ROG USB‑C10G measures 85 x 32 x 19 mm and weighs 38 g, and comes without a fixed cable. Instead it has a USB‑Type‑C port and a short USB‑C to USB‑C cable that also includes a USB‑C to USB‑A adapter.

The dongle is likely based on a Realtek RTL8159 chipset, a USB 3.2 Gen 2x2 device. Although the standard can theoretically support 20 Gbps, USB overhead limits practical throughput to about 6‑8 Gbps, so it is not fully capable of delivering the advertised 10 Gbps. The device also fails on Macs, which only support USB 3.2 Gen 2 and USB4/Thunderbolt, and using the USB‑C to USB‑A adapter further throttles performance.
