AMD Ryzen Chipset Driver 8.02.18.557 Fixes Missing Components

AMD has released Ryzen Chipset Driver version 8.02.18.557, a maintenance update that restores missing components from previous versions. The update brings back support for the AMS Mailbox driver and S0i3 filter driver, both essential for power management and system communication on supported Ryzen platforms. This addresses issues that emerged in earlier releases where these components disappeared.

Users upgrading from version 7 of the chipset installer face limitations when attempting to roll back to older versions. The workaround requires uninstalling the newer installer, deleting the Qt_Dependencies folder from the AMD directory, and then installing the older package. Other fixes include resolving driver name display issues on non-English operating systems and addressing occasional failures during Ryzen PPKG installation or upgrades.

The update also resolves compatibility problems with the AMS and S0i3 filter drivers on non-English OS environments. While these fixes improve system stability and functionality, several known issues remain. AMD recommends users download the latest package through official channels to ensure they receive all bug fixes and restored component support.
