Akasa has launched the Kepler R, a 2U rack-mountable fanless case designed for microATX and Mini-ITX motherboards. This new model builds upon the Kepler design by incorporating a 120 W redundant, hot-swappable ATX power supply unit (PSU). This feature ensures continuous operation even if one PSU module fails, making it ideal for critical applications like enterprise servers, industrial control systems, and medical devices that demand silent operation and 24/7 reliability.

The Kepler R supports Intel LGA1851 and LGA1700 socket motherboards, accommodating Intel Core (12th-14th Gen) and Core Ultra (15th Gen) processors up to 35 W TDP. Its fanless design utilizes an aluminum thermal module and dual copper heatpipes for efficient heat dissipation. The case includes front USB 3.2 ports, four hot-swappable 2.5" SATA drive bays, and support for up to four low-profile PCIe expansion cards. The hot-swappable PSU modules are 80 Plus Silver certified and offer robust protection features.

With a mean time between failures (MTBF) rating of 100,000 hours, the Kepler R is built for long-term reliability. Its front interfaces include two USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A ports and four 2.5" SATA SSD/HDD drive bays with tool-free, lockable, hot-swap trays. Rear expansion allows for up to four low-profile PCIe cards. Two pull-out handlebars facilitate easy installation and servicing in standard 19" server racks. The redundant PSU modules accept a wide range of AC and DC inputs and provide standard ATX power outputs.
