JustWatch, the streaming guide platform, has launched its own streaming service called Just Watch TV, aiming to tackle streaming fragmentation. Speaking to Stream TV Insider, JustWatch SVP Quentin Carbonell said the service offers a few hundred titles across different tiers and has 30 content partners globally, including Paramount and New Regency, with plans to add more.
The new streaming service is designed to fuel JustWatch Group's advertising business, described as a logical addition to its existing streaming guide. The company stated that Just Watch TV will provide deeper audience data and insights for JustWatch Media, its campaign planning and buying service for film marketing across platforms like YouTube, Meta, and TikTok, serving studios, distributors, streamers, and media agencies.
JustWatch Group's advertising business already uses first-party audience data from its streaming guide, which serves 50 million customers. Founder and CEO David Croyé said the vision has always been to create a single platform directing fans to all entertainment options in one place. Just Watch TV will help users discover and watch great movies and series, including hard-to-find titles, directly from the app.
Carbonell told Stream TV Insider that Just Watch TV aims to reach 100 million monthly users in the years to come.
