General Motors is launching new versions of its bestselling Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra pickup trucks for model year 2027. The new models feature an all-new, minimalist user interface for their digital displays. The main instrument cluster offers several views, including simple dials, a driver assist display for Super Cruise, off-road settings, and towing information.

A particularly useful night mode displays only the speed in large white digits. The central infotainment screen runs on Android Automotive OS with a more useful split-screen view for music and navigation. GM has also integrated Android-like notifications and quick actions.

Notably, unlike its electric vehicles, these trucks still support Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, allowing users to cast their phones to the infotainment system. The system includes physical controls for HVAC, temperature, fan speed, and demisting.
