Blue Origin to Refly New Glenn Booster on Third Launch

Blue Origin announced its next New Glenn launch will carry an AST SpaceMobile satellite no earlier than late February from Cape Canaveral. The real news is the plan to refly the 'Never Tell Me The Odds' booster from the November NG-2 mission, with refurbishment already underway for the NG-3 flight.

This turnaround is remarkably fast, targeting a reuse in under four months. For comparison, SpaceX’s first reflown Falcon 9 booster flew nearly 11 months after its initial landing. Blue Origin’s rapid refurbishment schedule suggests a confident and efficient process for its heavy-lift rocket, even on just its third orbital flight.

The launch manifest shift also highlights Blue Origin’s commercial focus. The company had originally planned to launch its MK1 lunar lander on NG-3 but pivoted to a commercial satellite. The MK1 lander is now en route to Johnson Space Center for testing, with a launch expected later this year.
