Ars Technica is seeking a senior technology reporter with extensive hardware knowledge and professional writing experience. The ideal candidate is a passionate technologist who enjoys hands-on exploration of devices like desktops, laptops, phones, CPUs, GPUs, and NAS systems.

Responsibilities include covering desktop and mobile operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux, iOS, Android), CPU & GPU architecture, storage solutions (NAS, HDDs, SSDs), and self-hosting services, particularly those using open-source software. This is a full-time, remote position with benefits, requiring eligibility to work in the United States and occasional travel.
