Amazon has upgraded its Echo Studio smart speaker with an integrated 13MP camera, adding visual capabilities to its audio-focused device. While the hardware remains largely unchanged—featuring a 3.75-inch woofer, three full-range drivers, Dolby Atmos support, and the AZ3 Pro processor with AI accelerator—the new Echo Studio with Home Camera enables smart home monitoring and visual assistance. Users can remotely check rooms to see if lights are left on or how pets are doing.
The camera allows Alexa to recognize objects and provide real-time help, such as explaining board game rules or identifying cereal boxes to reorder flavors. Amazon also introduced Advanced Room Adaptation, which continuously tunes sound to a room's acoustics for optimal audio quality.
